Step 1 of the journey
Career Profile & Guided Setup
Guided Setup collects your career facts once, in plain language, and marks each one private or shareable before anything is built from it.
SAMPLE / DEMONSTRATION — NOT CUSTOMER DATA. Every name, employer, school and detail is fictional.
No account is created and no answer is stored by this demonstration.
What is real here: This is the real Guided Setup step list used inside the studio, shown read-only with a fictional profile. Nothing is saved.

The real Guided Setup sequence
- Step 1 of 7
Profile details
Tell us who you are professionally. This is the one record everything else is built from.
- Confirm the name you use professionally.
- Add a short headline, your city and state, and one email and one phone number employers may use.
- Write or review your career goal and summary in your own words.
- Step 2 of 7
Photo & appearance
OptionalAdd a photo if you want one. Uploading a photo does not publish it — publishing needs a separate approval on the photo itself.
- Upload or take a headshot, then crop, straighten and reposition it.
- Leave the photo private, or approve that exact photo for public use.
- Mark any practice image as a test photograph so it can never be published.
- Step 3 of 7
Privacy & visibility
Decide, field by field, what other people are allowed to see. Everything starts private.
- Read the three visibility choices below and pick one for each field.
- Leave street address, date of birth, identifiers and source documents hidden.
- Confirm no other person's details are included unless you deliberately approved them.
- Step 4 of 7
CareerPass preview
OptionalIncluded with a paid planSee exactly what an employer sees when they open your CareerPass — nothing more, nothing less.
- Open the preview and read it as a stranger would.
- If something should not be there, go back to Privacy & visibility and turn it off.
- Step 5 of 7
QR code & sharing
OptionalIncluded with a paid planYour QR code is a printable square that opens your CareerPass. You can pause or revoke it at any time without reprinting anything.
- View your branded QR card.
- Decide whether to share it now or keep it paused.
- Step 6 of 7
Milestones & certificates
OptionalIncluded with a paid planCertificates you earn are yours. They stay private unless you switch them on.
- Review your First Step Forward progress.
- Choose whether earned certificates appear on your CareerPass.
- Step 7 of 7
Final public-profile review
A single checklist of everything that will be visible to other people, before anything is shared.
- Read the checklist below line by line.
- Confirm the list is correct, or go back and change it.
Optional steps can be skipped. Steps tied to a paid capability are shown as previews until that capability is on your account.
Privacy choice on every fact
Public Website
Anyone with the link can see it, including people you have never met and search engines if you allow indexing.
Good for: your headline, your city and state, the work you want to be hired for.
Resume Only
It is used on documents you send to an employer yourself. It is never placed on the public website.
Good for: your email address and phone number.
Private
Only you can see it inside your signed-in account. It is not printed, published or shared with anyone.
Good for: uploads, notes, and anything you have not decided about yet.
Always private, never selectable
- Home street address — Only your city and state are ever used.
- Date of birth — Employers do not need it and it is used for identity theft.
- Government identifiers — Social Security, driver licence and similar numbers are never stored for publication.
- Source documents you upload — Your files stay private evidence for your own record.
- Background or screening reports — These are never shown or shared by Zyiion.
- Private credential numbers — A licence can be shown as active without exposing its number.
